Chef And Cook

We are a long established authentic Indian Restaurant. We specialize in traditional North Indian cuisine.

We are looking for a Chef to join our small but busy team. We are looking for someone that can cook a variety of Indian traditional dishes and that can cook both on the Tandoori and Curry dishes as well as you will be required to do both. You will be required to work alone when our other Chef/Cook is away or not on shift and be responsible for running the kitchen in tandem with the other Chef/Cook.

Key Responsibilities:

*Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and accompaniments. *Plan menus to ensure we offer a fine variety of Indian cuisine *Ensure all food is prepared to high quality and presentation standards. *Manage kitchen operations, including maintaining hygiene, food safety, and inventory. *Train and guide kitchen staff as needed. *Ensure compliance with health standards including MPI regulations including preservation of food and food standards as well as safe food handling skills. *Share in the management of the kitchen and ensure efficiency and the highest quality *Proven experience and passion as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen (Min 3-4 years experience) *Comprehensive knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. *Able to cook both Tandoor and Curry and be able to work alone if required. *Excellent time management, teamwork, and communication skills.

We offer:

*Min of 30 hours per week *A competitive hourly rate of $25 - $35 per hour depending on skill set and experience. *A safe and friendly working environment.
