We are looking for Chef for a busy Indian Restaurant.

Minimum 30 hours per week (Plus an opportunity for overtime)

Number of positions -  One

Wages- $25.00 to $27.00/ hr

Full-time, Permanent

Location : New Plymouth

Great opportunity to work with a friendly team in a busy Restaurant/Takeaway in New Plymouth.

 Job duties:

·      Performing all the essential food preparation, seasoning and cooking

·      Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment like grills and  Tandoor

·      Maintain and ensure food quality at all times

·      Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities

·      Maintaining hygiene at all times

·      Train other kitchen staff whenever required

·      Stocktaking and reporting it to the Chef

·      Clean and keep the kitchen as required by NZ standards

 

Candidate requirements:

·      At least two to three years of relevant experience in an Indian restaurant/takeaway

·      Experience in preparing Indian Cuisine

·      Knowledge of grinding and mixing Indian spices will be an advantage

·      Experience in Tandoori or Curry style of cooking
