Grillnchill Ltd is looking for 2 Grill Chefs 30-35 hours per week, at the pay rate $28- $32 per hour. Overtime will be paid at $28-$32 per hours. Wages will be paid their nominated bank account.

For the Wellington region, at Hataitai and Wadestown stores,  needed Grill chefs who are either New Zealand citizens, residents/ PRs, or on an open work visa with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in Commmercial kitchen.

 Key responsibilities:

  1. Grill, cook, and season burger patties with consistent quality and timing
  2. Build and assemble burgers to brand specifications with precision
  3. Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and temperature-control standards
  4. Oversee daily prep of fresh ingredients and ensure stock rotation (FIFO).
  5. Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including daily grill cleaning 
  6. Ensure adherence to portion control, quality standards, and kitchen SOPs
  7. Manage cooking timelines during busy periods and coordinate with team members
  8. Assist with junior staff in grill operations and food safety
  9. Support the kitchen manager in maintaining compliance with food control plans.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, 
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service times.
