Smiley's Pizza & Takeaways Limited trading as Smiley’s Authentic Thai Food & Takeaways in Westport is seeking 1x permanent cook.

Smiley’s Authentic Thai Food & Takeaways has recently undergone a transformation to become a Thai restaurant and takeaway. We are seeking a cook who is familiar with cooking Thai cuisine. To be successful in this role, you must have an absolute minimum of 12 months' work experience as a cook or chef in commerical kitchens. 

We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours work per week. The successful applicant must be available five days a week, including weekends and public holidays. 

Remuneration ranges from $26 - $30 per hour.

The key duties of a cook include:

• Prepare, cook and serve a variety of dishes and other items according to the restaurant’s menu, standards and dietary requirements.
• Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and to a high quality, and supervise the stock to maintain an adequate supply of ingredients (including ensuring a sufficient amount of prepped food).
• Provide input into menus.
• Monitor quality of food being produced.
• Estimate and prepare stock ahead of service.
• Undertake and enforce hygiene regulations, including monitoring fridge and storage conditions.
