We are looking for experienced Chinese cuisine cooks who are enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly team members to join our busy restaurant in Mission Bay, Auckland.

The candidates should have NZQF Level 4 qualification in Cookery or equivalent, or at least three years of relevant work experience

 

We are looking for a skilled Cook to join our Chinese restaurant team. The role involves preparing and cooking traditional Chinese dishes in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining consistent food quality and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant cookery qualifications or industry experience, strong time-management skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Chinese chef’s certificate or relevant work experience

  • Experience preparing and cooking authentic Chinese cuisine in a commercial kitchen

  • Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements

  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
