Chef

Dosa Vilas is a food truck takeaway restaurant serving South Indian focused cuisine located in Mt Eden, Auckland. 

We are curerntly looking for up to 1 x Chef to work in our food truck and are welcoming
applications.

This a full time permanent position. Weekly hours of work may be vary but we
guarantee at least 30 hours of 12am to 9pm, the rate of pay offered is $30 to $32 per
hour depending on experience

Job Description:
As a Chef, you will carry out the the following tasks:

• Preparation of all types of authentic Indian dishes with particular emphasis and
  skill in South Indian cooking.
• Presentation of meals in attractive manner.
• Operate a traditional tandoori oven
• Train other staff in South Indian techniques and cooking procedures
• Ensure food is stored andequipment is maintained in hygiene condition
• Conduct regular stock sale takes an arrange ordering of supplies
• To work unsupervised.

You will need:

• ANZQF diploma or at least 1.5 years of relevant work experience
• Full operational knowledge of all traditional South Indian recipes standard, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes
• Good communicatio and Organisational skills
• The ability to work additional hours and pressure
• Good personal hygiene
• The ability to work lawfully in New Zealand
