Kaikanui Fish & Chips and Chinese Takeaways located in Kaiapoi, Canterbury, is looking for an experienced Cook in Chinese cuisine to join our friendly kitchen team. You will prepare Chinese dishes using the wok and help maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment. No qualifications required. Minimum 2 years experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese cuisine meals in accordance with our menu, standards and customer requests.
- Prepare ingredients (vegetables, proteins, rice/noodles, etc).

Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene standards, and food safety practices at all times.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by directors and Head Cook.
- Assist other team members when your own tasks have been completed.
Required Abilities
- Ability to willingly learn, prepare and cook dishes strictly according to the business's established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation style.
- Ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team.
