Chef

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at 4M Empire Limited as a Chef. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, flavourful dishes that will delight our customers. As a Chef, You will have the chance to showcase your culinary skills in fast-paced, creative environments.  This full time roll based in Grey Lynn Auckland. 

Location: Grey Lynn, Auckland

Job type Full time - 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster.

Duration: Permanent

Pay Bracket: Minimum Pay rate will be $25 per hour and the employer is willing to go up to $32.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes to the highest standard

• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service

• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

 • Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

• May select and train staff

• May freeze and preserve foods

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes 

• Relevant 3 Year's Experience as a chef or similar role / and or Diploma or higher

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

• attention to details and hi standards of cleaniliness 

• flexibility to work in weekends, holidays and in the evenings 

• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in fast paced environments 

• Ability to work under pressure
