Due to expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef to come and join our brilliant and experienced team.

  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.

Applicants must have the following as per employer’s requirement: 

  • Applicants must be physically fit.
  • Applicants must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Applicants must provide a CV.

  • Candidate must have at least 2 years relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen OR a Level 5 Diploma in Cookery is a requirement.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook menu items on the grill, including meat, eggs, and vegetables, as required.
  • Monitor meat temperature to ensure it is cooked safely.
  • Plate food to a high standard consistent with café expectations.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking and presentation.  
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill area throughout the shift. 
  • Ensure workstation is clean and tidy at end of shift and that all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.  
  • Work independently and allocate tasks where required.  
  • Be familiar with all cooking appliances and utensils so they may work as efficiently as possible
    throughout their shift.  
  • Minimize wastage.  
  • Inform management when equipment is due for maintenance, repair or replacement  
  • Planning of production process to maintain adequate stock levels for sale.
  • Conduct quality checks on delivered goods.
  • Make sure all equipment and methods meet hygiene, quality and safety regulations.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by Head Chef and Management.
