Chef

Our Cafe & Restaurant is located in Feilding needs to hire:

• 1 chef full - time permanent 
• Minimum number of hours per week: 35 hours
• Maximum number of hours per week 40 hours
• Feilding - Manawatu 
  
  
• Planning menus, creating new dishes
• Discussing food preparation issues with director, manager and staff
• Ordering suppliers and checking products to ensure the standards are met, handling and maintaining all products properly
• Ensure all food items are stored at the right temperature and all food is used by date, may freeze and preserve food to ensure food quality
• Ensuring enough stock is kept for daily operation through carrying out stakake.
• Cook food according to menu specifications in term of quality and quanlity using appropriatecooking techniques
• Mornitoring the quality of the dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation with high standard.
• Properly plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes,determing how food should be presented.
• Overseeing kitchen work progress, and ensuring implementationod health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• Ensuring all equipments and kitchen environment are oeprationaland meeting standard.
• Requirement for the job
• Having NZ work right, New Zealand residents and citizens are preffered.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience or a relevant NZQF level 4 is required
• Being physically fit
• No criminal record
• Full - time availability, always available on weekends. Might be rquied to work on public holiday.
• Available for both morning and evening shift across 7 days roster
• Skill in cooking Hue Royal meals and Vietnamese meals or Asian meals( Hue cusinse, Vietnames cusine)
• Knowing Vietnamese culture would be an advantages
• Having European cooking skills would be an advantages
