Gemmi Auckland Limited is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our vibrant team in the heart of Auckland CBD. 

We are looking for a creative professional dedicated to maintaining high culinary standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

 

Role Overview

  •  

    Position: Full-time, Permanent

     

  •  

    Location: Commercial Bay Shop5, Level 2/7 Queen Street, Auckland Central, Auckland 1010

     

  •  

    Compensation: Hourly $25 – $35 (Depending on experience)

     

  •  

    Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday on a rostered basis

     

  •  

    Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week 

 

Key Responsibilities

 Menu & Management: Plan innovative menus, estimate food/labor costs, and manage ingredient ordering.  Quality Control: Monitor all stages of food preparation and presentation to ensure top-tier quality.  Collaboration: Coordinate with management, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to ensure seamless service.

    Leadership: Demonstrate cooking techniques, assist on procedures, and assist in staff training.

     

  •  

    Compliance: Strictly enforce and maintain food hygiene and safety (HACCP) regulations.

     

Candidate Requirements 

  • Qualification: An NZQF Diploma (Level 5) or higher in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management; OR

     

  • Experience: In lieu of a formal qualification, at least three years of relevant professional culinary experience may be substituted.
