Indian Chef
We are looking for multiple people to work at our Food premise in Auckland and grow it to new heights. You can grow in this role immensely, and work within the most exciting Industry as an Indian Chef. This is a Position for everyone looking at Chef Opportunities, who want to be in the Hospitality Industry as a long term goal.
We are in genuine need of multiple Indian Chef's who will have the opportunity to learn and Grow within the Organisation and have a knack of making Indian Snacks and Indian Sweets. GOOD SALARY offered, as long as you have a Can-do attitude.
Minimum Pay rate per hour will be $30.00 and the employer is willing to go up to $35.00 per hour, based on Work Experience.

About the role:
The Indian Chef's will be responsible for Food Costs and making Indian sweets and Snacks like Samosa, Namkeen, Dhokla, Indian Savoury Chaat items etc. The role includes planning and organizing the Daily menu, Kitchen and preparing food in the premise as per the orders received by the company. The candidate will be required to work out profitability, Budget the Costs and estimate Food production methods accordingly. Ensure new staff is trained and vendors are in proper communication about business needs. Ensure Food Quality and techniques are followed, and illustrate procedures to follow prefect Preserving, Preparing, and cooking stages.
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and public holidays
- 2 Years Relevant Indian Chef Experience AND / OR relevant qualification is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in any field will be considered relevant, and acceptable for this role.
- Positive attitude, Building Rapport with Staff, and ability to thrive under pressure
- Communication skills, Decision making and Handling Issues professionally
- A passion for culinary excellence and hardworking Nature
- Great presentation and Personal Hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Indian Food or interest to learn the Indian Cuisine will be beneficial, as this is an Indian cooking premise.
- Knowledge or Experience in Food Safety and Hygiene regulations will be a Bonus.
- To be considered for this role you must be in NZ, and either be an NZ resident, citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full time.
