We are looking for a commi chef to join the team. In this role, you will be assisting with food preparation and the cooking of food to the highest company standards, whilst maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience: A NZ Certificate in Cookery L4 or at least 2 years as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Flexibility: Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Creativity: A passion for creating menus and memorable dishes that surprise and delight. Food Safety Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of New Zealand's Food Control Plans and compliance standards.
- Knowledge: a knowledge of food trends and dietary requirements as well as an ability to demonstrate techniques and advice on cooking procedures.
- Team Player: The ability to collaborate effectively and maintain a positive kitchen environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare and present fresh, seasonal salads and plated dishes with care and consistency
- Collaborate closely with fellow chefs to maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and well-organised at all times
- Contribute to all aspects of kitchen operations, including dishwashing and general cleaning duties
- Support and uphold our commitment to sustainability, wellness, and quality in every dish served
This position offers a minimum of 30 hours per week. Hourly rate between $25.00 and $30.00.
