Tok Tok Hobsonville is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook to join its kitchen team. The role involves overseeing, controlling and managing the production of meals, including preparation and plating, to ensure high-quality food is delivered efficiently and in accordance with establishment standards.

You will work closely with front-of-house team members and the kitchen team to deliver fresh, quality food in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh

Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients

Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods

Present, garnish and arrange final dishes

Occasionally serve food

Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes

Handle and store ingredients and food

Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils

Execute opening and closing procedures

Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment

Check the quality and freshness of ingredients

Monitor station inventory levels

Accommodate guests’ special requests

Operate kitchen equipment such as boilers, ovens, grills and fryers

And any other reasonable task asked of you

 

Skills and Experience Required

At least 2 years’ relevant work experience as a Cook

Good knowledge of food safety practices and Food Control Plans

Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable, organised and detail-focused

Ability to speak Vietnamese would be an advantage
