We are looking for two experienced Mithai Chef who specializes in preparing traditional Indian sweets. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authentic recipes, ingredients, and sweet-making techniques while maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality.
Hourly Rate $25 – $32 per hour (depending on experience and skills)
Location: Wellington
Full time position 30-35 hours/week
Two (2) positions available
working hours Lunch 11am - 2pm 5pm - 9pm Including weekend's availability flexibly required
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide variety of Indian mithai such as laddoos, barfi, peda, halwa, rasgulla, gulab jamun, and other traditional sweets

Follow standardized recipes while ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation

Manage preparation of sugar syrups, khoya, chashni, and other base ingredients

Ensure proper food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen

Monitor ingredient quality and freshness

Control portion sizes and minimize wastage

Assist in creating new or seasonal sweet varieties when required

Maintain kitchen equipment and tools used for sweet preparation
