Chinese Cook

We are a restaurant located in Rotorua, serving authentic Sichuan & Cantonese Chinese cuisine, seeking experienced cooks to work on a full-time basis.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Have relevant 2 years cooking experience
• Knowlege of Sichuan & Cantonese cuisine are preferred
• Be confident working in a busy kitchen environment
• Good communication skills, enjoy working in a team
• Be honest and reliable, able to work unsupervised

The tasks will include:

• Food preparation and seasoning, work at a fast pace
• Cook food to a consistent standard
• Preparing dishes for customers with special dietary requirements
• Assist with menu planning and developing new dishes
• Check the stock and ensure quality, assist with ordering
• Preserve the food and freeze them as required
• Enforce hygiene regulations and be responsible for health and safety issues
