India Gate Ltd is looking for one cook for an Indian Restaurant in Dunedin, Otago region, New Zealand.

Either New Zealand citizens, residents/PRs or on an open work visas may apply having one-year work experience in Indian cuisine as a Tandoor and Curry cook.

Wages:$26-$29/hour and overtime at same pay rate $26-$29/hour;

Full-time 30-35 hours per week, wages monthly paid in their nominated bank account.

Duties:

  1. examining foodstuffs to ensure quality;

  2. regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment;

  3.  preparing and cooking food; seasoning food during cooking;

  4. portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes;

  5. storing food in temperature-controlled facilities;

  6. preparing food to meet special dietary requirements:

  7. May train other kitchen staff.
