M&B Group Limited is a hospitality business committed to delivering high-quality food and excellent dining experiences. We are currently seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure consistently high standards across all aspects of food preparation and service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor kitchen budgets, taking into account labour costs, ingredient pricing, and equipment expenses.

  • Design and plan menus based on seasonal availability, customer preferences, and cost efficiency, ensuring profitability and quality.

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of Chefs, Cooks, and other kitchen staff to maintain a skilled and efficient team.

  • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to Chefs and Cooks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Supervise the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and high presentation standards.

  • Use and teach advanced culinary skills and techniques required to prepare menu items to a professional standard.

  • Inspect ingredients and finished dishes to ensure all quality, taste, and presentation standards are met.

  • Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including workplace safety and food safety standards.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Must hold a relevant Level 4 qualification in Commercial Cookery or

  • Have at least two years of relevant experience in a similar Head Chef or senior chef role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
