New Classic Cafe Mt Limited, located in Auckland, is a popular local cafe known for its hearty breakfasts, fresh meals and friendly service. We are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our dynamic team.

The Cook is responsible for delivering high standards of kitchen control and presentation of menu items and to provide an efficient and cost effective food service for the establishment.
The main duties include:
To ensure efficiency of business and good cooperation with general managment of the Cafe.
To ensure legislative compliance of the Cafe, including the supervision of the operation of the business.
Maintain good kitchen skills.
To coordinate the work of the kitchen staff and direct the preparation of meals, oversee the kitchen operations to ensure uniform quality and presentation of meals.
To set standards, scheduling, monitoring and training staff to achieve high standards.
To assess in the completion of staff performance reviews and coordinate the general managers in the recruitment and discharge of the employees.
To support staff in their daily activities and step in or cover when required
Be responsible for the facility and equipment are maintained to restaurant standard on day to day running.
Ordering and controlling stock budgeting.
Work out food and labour costs, eliminating wastage and resolve any problem.
Maintain good flair and imagination on menu palnning.
Recommend the promotion plan and follow up the promotion activities to achieve the sales target.
Resolve all customer complaints in a manner that enhance the reputation and standard of the company.
Duration and type of employment :
Permanent full-time
Pay rate:NZD minimum $23.50-Maximum $27.00 per hour
Minimum Guaranteed hours of work:
1.Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week
2. Work between Monday to Sunday,4:30am-4:30pm
3. Maybe required to work up to a maximum of 50 hours per week (exclusive of overtime)
Location: Penrose, Auckland region
Minimum qualifications, skills and experience:
1.At least 1 year of relevant industry work experience or a level 5 qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF)
2.Skilled in kitchen skills
3.Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times
4.Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
