Position Title: Cook
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Auckland
Pay Rate: $29 – $32 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Key Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience OR Level 2 or 3 qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Indian dishes including curries, gravies, masalas, entrées, and sides.
- Assist in preparing ingredients, spices, and sauces to maintain menu consistency.
- Maintain high food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Follow restaurant recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food items.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations.
- Assist chefs during busy service periods and coordinate with front‑of‑house staff.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support menu preparation and daily prep tasks.
- Follow health, hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures at all times.
