A busy Indian restaurant urgently requires experienced Cook.

Below are some key details of the job on offer:

• Hourly rate- $25-$30.00
• Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Any extra hours worked over 30 will be compensated at base rate
• Job type-Full-time, Permanent
• Location: Devonport Auckland

Great opportunity to work with a friendly team in a busy restaurant in Auckland, specializing in authentic North Indian food.

Job duties:

• Performing all the essential food preparation, seasoning and cooking
• Maintain Tandoor (Charcoal Oven) in working state
• Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment like grills and ovens
• Maintain and ensure food quality at all times
• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Maintaining hygiene at all times
• Train other kitchen staff whenever required
• Stocktaking and reporting it to the Manager
• Clean and keep the kitchen as required by NZ standards
• Assist in resolving customer complaints

Candidate requirements:

• At least one year of relevant experience in an Indian cuisine restaurant or hotel
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
• Able to work till late evenings
• This is a busy restaurant so applicants must be a good team player
