We are a New Zealand owned Turkish restaurant business and we are looking for our Chef to join our team. This is a senior role within our company as it has higher levels of responsibility than our Cooks.
This is a full-time permanent role, which you will work a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 55 hours. You will be paid at
$29 to $35 per hour.
You will work at our premises in Waihi, Waikato region. Hours allocated will be between 9:30am to 8:30pm Monday to
Sunday
You should have at least 2 years’ relevant verifiable work experience. As we are a Turkish restaurant, Turkish cooking/chefing
experience is preferred.
Your asks will include:
- Leading the kitchen.
- Preparing meats, salad, and dips from scratch.
- Preparing all dishes and if required to those with special dietary needs using our kitchen including all equipment. This means cooking, portioning, and seasoning food property. Ensuring presentation is tidy.
- Ensure you carry out good food hygiene practices and ensure that all work stations are maintained and cleaned regularly.
- Check and properly storing all ingredients to ensure they are fresh and of good quality.
- Train staff when required.
- Carry out temperature checks for all fridges and freezers.
- Work with the owner with making menu adjustments where requirements and estimate our weekly ingredients required. Order if needed.
