Miyuki Japanese Restaurant(Registered company KATSU LTD) is a popular Japanese restaurant located in Howick, Auckland that has earned recognition for its quality cuisine and excellent service. We are seeking two talented chefs to join our team. As a chef with our company, you will be work a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

  •  Prepare, roll, and present sushi dishes with attention to detail and authenticity  
  • Grill various meats and vegetables to perfection, ensuring optimal flavor and texture.
  • Cook noodle-based dishes such as ramen and udon with skill and finesse.
  •  Manage both the sushi section and the grill and noodle section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow, ingredientinventory management, and cleanliness.
  • Organize the kitchen workspace for maximum efficiency and productivity.  
  • Maintain inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Adhere to kitchen safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times.

     

  • Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field OR

  • NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above, No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's qualification or above.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Delicate attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
