Reporting to the Directors who have overall oversight of all Motel functions, the selected candidate requires strong culinary skills, excellent organisational ability, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service to both motel guests and the general public.
Day to day Tasks:
- Oversee all daily activities related to food service for motel guests and the public.
- Prepare and serve breakfast and dinner for motel guests and external customers.
- Demonstrate expertise in Indian cuisine and other international cuisines.
- Experience with burgers is considered an advantage.
- Design, update, and implement seasonal menus.
- Manage food inventory, procurement, and stock rotation to ensure freshness and cost efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and compliant kitchen environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure all room service orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly.
- Ensure motel rules, policies, and procedures are consistently followed.
- Manage customer orders for both dine‑in motel guests and takeaway customers.
- Collect payments and accurately record daily earnings.
- With employer approval, engage and supervise a part‑time cleaner when required.
- Ensure the motel’s Facebook page and website are regularly updated.
- Respond to online orders and customer enquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide daily operational reports to the Directors at the end of each day.
