Penfold Investment Limited is looking for a full-time Chef to join us.

Main duties of the Chef:

1. Preparing and cooking food based on the techniques and procedure specified.
2. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
3. Check food stocks and place order from food suppliers accordingly.
4. Liaison with manager and other staffs to discuss the food preparation issues.
5. Maintaining a full knowledge of the menu to demonstrate techniques and advise cooking procedures.
6. Estimating food and labour costs to maintain profit margins.
7. Keeping up with new cuisine trends and adjusting menus accordingly.
8. Recruiting, training and supervising other kitchen staffs.
9. Effectively discipline underperforming staff members, as well as provide incentive forstaffmembers to go above and beyond the expectations of their particular kitchen staff roles.
10. Produce menus in accordance with the restaurant’s vision and customer’s demands.
11.Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations to ensure kitchen is tidy and clean.
12. Managing frozen and fresh foods.

 

The ideal candidate must have the followings:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.
  • Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.
  • Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Full commitment is required.
  • Be able to pass a police check.

  • Competitive hourly rates are from $30 to $35 per hour.
  • Working hours 30 - 40 per week.
