We are a popular Japanes restaurant located in Gisborne, looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- may plan menus and estimate food requirements
- may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or Cookery Qualification (NZQF Level 4 equivalent) or any Bachelor degree

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work as part of a busy team and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Reliability and punctuality.
What We Offer:

Competitive Pay: $32 - $36 per hour (Negotiable based on experience).
- Full time Position - at least 30 work hours per week, maxium 50 work hours per week.
