Siri Ltd is looking for Thai Chefs to join the team.

  • This is a permanent role.
  • Full time, with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.
  • Our business hours are Wednesday - Friday, between 11.30am - 2.00pm, Monday - Thursday and Sunday, between 4.30pm - 9.00pm, and Friday - Saturday, between 4.30pm - 10.00pm. Shifted are rosted across these days and hours. 
  • Competitive remuneration $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

About the Role

You will be based in Canterbury.

What you will do

  • Create balanced and innovative menus using seasonal ingrediants while considering dietary restrictions and budget constraints
  • Review labor and food costs, organising menus to stay within budget
  • Ensure adequate stock levels and place orders for supplies
  • Collaborate with management on plans for special events
  • Handle equipment purchases and repairs as needed
  • Inspect all ingrediants and supplies to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and advice on procedures
  • Consult with management to address issues and assist in developing solutions 
  • Ensure consistent food presentation
  • Prepare and cook food according to specifications
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene compliance
  • Accurately measure ingrediants and portion sizes
  • Manage deliveries while ensuring adherence to food hygience standards

The successful applicant will:

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR 
  • Certificate in cookery or a relevant qualification. 
  • Knowledge of Thai food ingrediants 
  • Must be able to work on weekend and public holiday as this are our busiest times
