Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and dedicated Cook with expertise in Asian and Chinese Cuisines to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient oepration of all kitchen tasks. The Cook will also share knowledge with team members and assist in creating new recipes while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Cook Dishes: Prepare and cook a range of specialized Asian and Chinese cuisine dishes with precision and high quality.
- Train and Share Knowledge: Proactively share knowledge and train other members of the kitchen staff, ensuring everyone is aligned with cooking standards.
- Cooking Techniques and Skills: Demonstrate excellent cooking techniques and ski ls to ensure consistent food quality.
- Ingredient Inventory and Ordering: Assist in ingredient inventory stock-taking and stock procurement/ordering for the kitchen, ensuring sufficient supply of fresh ingredients.
- Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all prepped items are delivered on time for smooth kitchen operations.
- Food Preparation Support: Assist in food preparation for efficient kitchen operations, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- stock Management: Maintain accurate records of product levels and ensure necessary stocks are on hand in the right quality and quantity.
- Menu Creation: Contribute to the creation of new and exciting food menus and seasonal dishes.
- Sanitation Practices: Learn and stay up-to-date on sanitation practices, ensuring all kitchen staff comply with hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Compliance Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of all areas in the kitchen to ensure compliance with established standards for cleanliness and food safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Proactively maintain kitchen equipment to ensure top performance and minimize downtime.
- Consistent Food Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared to meet standardized recipes and sanitation standards, delivering consistent quality to guests.
- Facility Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept kitchen and storage areas at all times.
- Costing and Preparation Estimation: Estimate food preparation amounts for costing purposes when required, assisting with inventory planning.
- Health and Safety: Assist with Central Management in managing health, safety, and other operational affairs when required.
- Process Improvement: Work with team members to improve kitchen operations, workftows, and overall efficiency.
- Recipe Planning: Help plan and create new recipes to expand menu
offerings.
Additional Duties: Perform other fair and reasonable duties as required by the management.

About You
- At least two years of proven experience in a relevant role or a relevant qualification equivalent to Level 4 or above
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Team player with great communciation skills.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
Please note this is a full-time role with guaranteed hours of at least 30 hours per week.
