Due to our business expansion, Sophia Fusion Restaurant Limited is looking for Chinese Chefs to join our friendly team in Auckland.

 

What you will do but not limited to the following:

 

  • Prepare and season food efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Cook meals for customers with special dietary requirements
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure food quality
  • Preserve and freeze food as required
  • Enforce hygiene regulations and manage health and safety issues
  • Plan and design new recipes
  • Train staff on new recipes, cooking techniques, and equipment
  • Oversee cooks during food preparation
  • Manage kitchen team and review staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial goals

 

Suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Either have at least two years of relevant experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of Asian cooking techniques
  • A positive team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

 

What we can offer:

 

  • Full time employment in Auckland
  • Hourly rate: $26/hour gross - $28/hour gross
  • Hours of week per week: a minimum of 30 hours, no more than 45 hours per week, from Monday, Wednesday to Saturday. Over time maybe expected
