J & S NZ ENTERPRISES LIMITED, known for delivering quality dining experiences, is seeking skilled Chefs to join its team in Glendowie, Auckland. The role involves preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring consistently excellent food and service standards that enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled, creative, and passionate about food preparation, with a strong commitment to maintaining high kitchen standards, efficiency, and consistency.

Key Duties 

  • Plan and develop menus in consultation with management, taking into account customer preferences, seasonal availability of ingredients, and cost efficiency to ensure a balanced and appealing food offering
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality food preparation and presentation across a range of dishes, maintaining consistency and excellence
  • Supervise and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service
  • Allocate tasks effectively and provide training, support, and guidance to kitchen staff as required
  • Work closely with management to identify and resolve operational or food preparation issues
  • Monitor and adjust cooking equipment performance to ensure optimal cooking results
  • Maintain strict food storage, handling, and rotation procedures to ensure product quality and safety
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in compliance with health regulations
  • Follow established menus, food preparation standards, and operational procedures at all times
  • Perform additional duties as required to support overall business operations and objectives

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 to $35 per hour.

Other requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or at least a relevant Level 4 qualification.
  • Flexible availability for weekend and evening shifts.
