HP Wadhwa Limited is seeking a skilled and dedicated Baker to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking a wide range of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, biscuits, and other baked goods to our established quality standards.

Key Responsibilties

Pre-Production & Quality Checks

       Check cleanliness and operation of equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations.

       Inspect quality of raw materials and accurately weigh and measure ingredients as per recipes and batch specifications.

Dough & Batter Preparation

       Knead, mature, cut, mould, mix, and shape dough and pastry goods by hand and/or using mechanical equipment.

       Operate mixing machines, dough dividers, moulders, and other bakery equipment.

Baking & Production

       Coordinate forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and biscuits.

       Set and monitor oven temperatures, steam levels, and baking times to achieve consistent results.

Finishing & Decoration

       Ensure finished products meet presentation, weight, and quality standards before packaging.

Food Safety & Compliance

       Maintain compliance with the Health & Safety regulations

       Complete production records, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules as required.

       Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements, including correct use of PPE and safe manual handling.

Equipment Operation

       Operate rolling machines, moulders, mixers, slicers, and  machines safely and as trained.

       Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment after each production run.

Stock Management

       Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate replenishment.

       Ensure correct storage, rotation  and labelling of all raw materials and finished products.

Teamwork & Training

       Collaborate with the bakery team to meet daily production schedules and quality targets.     

       Provide on-the-job guidance and mentoring to junior bakers and apprentices.

 

Qualifications & Experience Requirement

  •      Relevant work experience of two years or a relevant qualification
  •      Salary range of $28.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on the work experience. This is a full time permanent employment
  •      Role required to work in evenings, late nights & public holidays
