About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen
team. This role will play a key part in daily food preparation and service. You will
work closely with the management team to maintain food quality, consistency, and
efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
About the Restaurant
We are a busy and modern Korean-style restaurant located in the heart of Auckland
CBD, close to Aotea Square. The business is well established for Korean-style fried
chicken and burgers, and has recently expanded its menu to include artisan pizzas,
catering to a broader customer base for dine-in, takeaway, and private events. With
a large dining area and a dedicated event space, we continue to grow as a popular
destination for casual dining and social gatherings.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present menu items, including Korean-style fried chicken,
burgers and pizzas
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and
standards
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
Manage food preparation before and during service periods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste
Support menu development and new item preparation as the business grows
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant
OR Relevant qualification (equivalent to NZ Level 4 or higher)
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and
public holidays
Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for food, quality, and teamwork
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to long-term employment
