The Company:

Our client is a wholesaler of furnishing and interiors products, which are distributed widely to customers across New Zealand.  Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a bright and motivated Accounts & Administration Assistant to join their friendly North Shore based team.

 This is a varied junior-level role that would suit someone with some exposure to accounts or office administration.

You will play an important role supporting both the accounting function and the wider office operations, making this a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career within a supportive business environment.

 

The Role:

  • Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing and follow-up

  • Entering invoices and financial data into Xero

  • Updating customer records, contact details, and account information

  • Maintaining spreadsheets and entering sales data for reporting purposes

  • Ordering office supplies, stationery and consumables

  • Liaising with suppliers and following up on orders

  • Providing general office administration support

  • Assisting with customer service and day-to-day support enquiries

  • Supporting the wider team wherever needed

About You:

  • Basic accounting and administration skills

  • Someone who wants to learn and develop new skills

  • Good data entry skills and strong attention to detail

  • Confidence using computer systems and the ability to pick up new software quickly

  • Experience with Xero (preferred but not essential)

  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • A friendly, team-focused personality with a “can-do” approach

  • Good problem-solving skills and initiative

  • Must have driver's license for general errands

Most importantly, you will be someone who is motivated to learn, grow, and become a valued part of the team.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 40 hours a week.  You can choose your start time between 8am- 9:30am.
