CHINESE DELISH LIMITED is a busy and growing hospitality business committed to providing authentic and high-quality Chinese cuisine and excellent customer service. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Cook to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of Chinese dishes according to menu requirements
  • Assisting in menu planning and food preparation
  • Seasoning food during cooking and portioning meals appropriately
  • Monitoring food quality and presentation standards
  • Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Checking freshness of ingredients and stock rotation
  • Assisting with ordering and storage of food supplies
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Working closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Following workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 2 years relevant work experience, OR
  • Relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
