​​Job description

·         Designing menus, calculating food and labor expenses, and managing food supply orders.

·         Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.

·         Collaborating with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and servers on food preparation matters.

·         Showcasing cooking techniques and providing guidance on culinary procedures.

·         Handling the preparation and cooking of meals.

·         Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

·         Possibly responsible for hiring and training staff.

·         May oversee food preservation and freezing.

·         Plans and coordinates meal preparation and cooking in restaurants or catering services.

  • Carry out other reasonable work duties assigned by the employer.

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 25.00- 30.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: 5–6 days per week (rotational roster arrangements apply)
  • Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Job Requirement

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a Bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
