The Foundation cafe is situated in the heart of the Christchurch CBD and is seeking an experienced chef who has four or more years kitchen experience to join our busy team.
You will be rostered on for 5 days from 6am to 2pm with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
*Food preperation-Craft , cook and present menu items according to establishment standards.Ensure taste , texture and visual appeal meets expectations.
*Menu Planning-Develop recipes ,create seasonal menus
*Kitchen Management-Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently ,monitor food stock inspect deliveries for quality and freshness ,minimize waste and control food costs.
*Food safety and sanitation-Uphold strict health , hygiene ,and safety regulations including proper food storage and labelling
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
*Must have at least 4 years of commercial kitchen experience
*Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques ,flavour profiles ,and food preperation
