Our Cafe & Restaureant is located in Feilding needs to hire:

+ 1 full - time chef permanent 
+ Minimum number of hours per week: 30
+ Maximum number of hours per week : 40
+ Loction : Feilding Manawatu

 

+ Planning menus, creating new dishes
+ Discussing food prepartion issues with the Director, manager and staff
+ Ordering the supplies and checking the products to ensure the standards are met.  Handling and maintaining all products properl.
+ Ensuring all foods items are sorted at the right temperature and all food is used by date, may freeze and preserve food to ensure food quality.

+ Ensure enough stock is kept for daily operation through carrying out stockate.
+ Cook food according to menu specifications in terms of quality and quantity using appropriate cooking techniques.
+ Monitoring the quanlity of the dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation with a high standard. 
+ Properly plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes, determining how food should be presented.
+ Overseeing kitchen work progress, and ensuring implemention of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.

+ Ensuring all equipments and kitchen environment are operational and meeting standard.
+ Investigating customers complaints
+ Contrlling kitchen cost ans expenses, estimating materials or labor requirements. Maintaing and raising the restaurant's food profit margins.

+ Maintaning work recard when nescessary.

+ Monitoring kitchen operation and providing solutions or making decisions when necessary. 

+ Ensuring clean and hygien the kitchen facility is at the high standard by preparing cleaning schedules for fellow kitchen staff and inspecting all areas after cleaning 

 

  • Requirements for the job 
  • Having NZ work right, New Zealnad residents, and citizens are prefered
  • At least six month of revelant work experince OR a relevant NZQF lvel 4 is required.
  • Being physically fit
  • No criminal record 
  • Full -time availability, always available on weekends. Might be requied to work on public holidays
  • Available to work a flexible hours( might required to star early and finish late)
  • Available for both morning anf evening shifts across a 7day roster.
  • Skillful in cooking Hue Royal meals and Vietnamese meals ( Hue cuisine and Vietnamese cuisine)
  • Knowing Vietnamese cultrure would be a advanced.
  • Having European cooking skills would be an advandced.
