Hours: 30 hours per week guaranteed, between Monday to Sunday, The actual hours will be scheduled by the employer as needed.

Wage: $24 - $28 per hour

We are The VJ Family Limited Trading as The New Funky Fish, we are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time cook to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspect and ensure the quality of food items.

· Monitor and adjust the temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.

· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard.

· Season dishes during cooking and ensure proper flavor balance.

· Portion, plate, and garnish food with attention to presentation.

· Store food in temperature-controlled environments according to safety standards.

· Adapt food preparation to meet special dietary requirements.

· Assist in menu planning and estimate ingredient requirements as needed.

· Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff and apprentices.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 year of experience as a cook or relevant role.

· Adherence to health and safety at work and food safety procedures.

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills. 

· Flexibility to work varied hours, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team.
