Top Tea Restaurant is an established Chinese restaurant offering authentic Southeren Chinese dishes, we are locaed in New Market, Auckland.
We are seeking two chefs and 1 cook to join our kitchend team, all full-time positions.
Chef job tasks:
• Preparing and cooking the dishes on our menu using correct techniques
• Advising the manager if there is any material shortage
• Communicating with the manager if there is any issues during food preparing process
• Supervising kitchen staff in preparing and cooking dishes
• Involving in selecting and training new kitchen staff
• Providing solutions to food complaints from customers if there is any
• Adhere to health and hygiene regulations
Cook (specialised in grills and fryers) duties:
- Examine food ingredients and prepared dishes to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor and regulate the temperatures of grills and fryers
- Prepare and cook specified food items according to recipes and specifications
- Season and adjust foods during cooking to achieve the desired flavor and presentation
- Portion food appropriately, arrange it on plates, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes
- Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments in accordance with food safety requirements
- Prepare meals that accommodate special dietary needs, allergies, and nutritional requirements
For both roles you are required to have a postive work attitude, and a general understanding of how to perform in a kitchen that offers the types of food on our menu.
You need to have at least two years' relevant work experience, occuaptional certification is a plus.
