A well-established company JOY TASTE BAKERY LIMITED is now enlarging its team to cope with the fast development. We are looking for BAKER position.

●        Location: Auckland

●        Job type: Full-time Permanent

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 2

●        Pay rate: from $28-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

* Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, desserts, pastries, and bread products according to recipes and production requirements.

* Measure, mix, and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, creams, and icings using bakery equipment.

* Produce bread products such as loaves, rolls, buns, and specialty breads, including dough preparation, proofing, and baking.

* Decorate cakes and desserts with icing, cream, chocolate, fruit, and other finishes to meet presentation standards.

* Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistency and freshness.

* Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with company policies and regulations.

* Check ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and storing baking supplies.

* Clean and maintain baking equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure efficient daily operations.

*Ability to independently produce a variety of bakery products.
* Proficient in making Japanese Shokupan (Japanese Milk Bread).
* Experienced in producing artisan European breads, including sourdough and rustic-style loaves.
* Skilled in making pretzels and other lye-based bread products.
* Experienced in producing French breads, including baguettes and country-style breads

 

Job Requirement

●         At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with at least NZQA equivalent level 4 or above formal qualification

●         A “can-do” attitude

●         Have an eye on details

●         Self-motivated

●         Clean non-criminal record
