Chef de Partie
Batch Winery – Waiheke Island, Auckland
Batch Winery is one of Waiheke Island's premier hospitality destinations, offering award-winning wines, exceptional cuisine, and breathtaking views over the Hauraki Gulf. We are seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team.
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position, working a minimum of 30 hours per week and up to 45 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with Batch Winery standards.
Manage a designated section of the kitchen and ensure efficient service delivery.
Assist with menu development and seasonal menu changes.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with New Zealand regulations.
Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Skills and Experience
Applicants should have:
At least three years' relevant commercial cookery experience; OR
A recognised Level 4 Cookery qualification (or equivalent) and at least one year's relevant experience.
Experience working in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Understanding of food safety and health and safety requirements.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
