We are looking for two experienced Chefs for our busy Indian Restaurants in  Auckland.  

Location: Auckland  

Job type: Full-time  

Duration: Permanent  

Pay: Minimum $25.00 and maximum $32.00  

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed  

Work experience: Two years of relevant work experience  

Willing to work on weekends and Public holidays (Working days will be between Monday  and Sunday)  

Job Description:  

• Overseeing kitchen operations to ensure they run smoothly  

• Preparation, seasoning, and cooking food  

• Cooking all authentic Indian curries and Tandoori dishes,  

• Able to prepare all Traditional Indian Sweets and Snacks  

• Monitoring the quality of dishes from basic preparation through to service to  customers.  

• Portioning food and adding dressings to ensure excellent presentation  

• Able to meet any special dietary requirements  

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs  

• Ordering food requirements as per the menu  

• Conducting stock takes and reporting to the manager  

• Handling customer complaints and discussing them with staff  

• Selecting, supervising, and training kitchen staff, advising them on cooking  procedures.  

• Keeping waste to a minimum and maintaining kitchen cleanliness  

• Responsible for maintaining a high level of staff professionalism. This includes the  correct uniform, general presentation, and encouragement of the “right” attitude for  the staff’s respective positions.  

• Maintaining the kitchen to excellent hygiene standards in accordance with ‘Hygiene  Certification’ requirements.  

• Maintaining personal hygiene and upholding high standards of health and safety
