You will be responsible for supervision of kitchen staff and the preparation and cooking of
menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service.

Hours: minimum 30 hours guaranteed, up to 45 hours per week | Monday to Sunday

Pay rate: $30 - $35 (depending on experience)
Minimum qualifications/experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience OR at
least level 4 Diploma in Cooking or equivalent
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Plan menus and design seasonal dishes in line with customer preferences/dietary
requirements
Estimate food and labour costs and manage ordering of food supplies
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes consistently
Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Liaise with Managers, Dietitians, and front-of-house staff regarding food
preparation matters
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and workflow
Demonstrate cooking techniques and guide junior kitchen staff
Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Liaise with management regarding kitchen operations and improvements
Maintain stock control and minimise wastage
Participate in the recruitment and training of staff when required
Implement appropriate methods for freezing and preserving food Any other lawful requests

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work weekends and public holidays
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
Ability to work well as part of a team
