Chinese cook


Mr Yi Limited, is looking to employ one Chinese cook for our Chinese restaurant based in Wellington. The Chinese cook we are looking for will work 40 hours per week and be paid $29.66 per hour. You will be expected to work in a busy environment but have to be presentable, reliable and able to deliver under pressure whiles maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation. The main tasks are as follows:

  1. Examining food quality before starting to cook
  2. Preparing and cooking the Chinese cuisine based on the techniques and procedures specified
  3. Seasoning and portioning Chinese cuisine as specified
  4. Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities before packaging
  5. Helping plan menu for Chinese dishes and estimate food requirements if required
  6. Giving train to any other kitchen staff or apprentices if required
