We are looking to recruit a senior chef for our restaurant in Whangarei.

Duties may include:

·      Plan menus

·      Taking feedback from the stakeholders and improving offerings

·      Ensure a great presentation by dressing dishes before serving.

·      Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen.

·      Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.

·      Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.

·      Able to train junior staff

·      Ensure compliance with health and safety norms.

·      cost control and budgeting

·      Cooking and preparing food as per orders.

·      Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

·      have knowledge of Indian curries and tandoor

 

Skills and experience:

·      Sound knowledge of Indian food and spices

·       Free from drugs and criminal history

·      Team worker

·      Ability to provide positive references

·      Available during weekends

·      Must have at least 2 years’ experience.

Minimum 30 hours a week
