Job Details:
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervising, coordinating and supporting cooks and kitchen hands during food preparation and service.
-Training and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen procedures.
-Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
-Monitoring kitchen cleanliness and ensuring all workstations, equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitised.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Making Malaysian sauces, creating dishes, developing new dishes, and quality control
- Check quality of ingredients
- Maintain accurate food inventories and place orders when there are shortages
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
