Pay: $28–$30 per hourHours: Minimum 30 hours and maximum 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30 am to 10:00 pm. Overtime may be required but no more than 8 hours per week.

Job Description

The suitable candidates will join the food service team and take responsibility for ensuring that all food is produced effectively and on time. Reporting to the Chef, responsibilities include:

  1. Prepare and cook food accordingly.

  2. Season food by using western cuisine cooking techniques.

  3. Portion food, place food on plates or in takeaway boxes, and add gravies and sauces.

  4. Ensure the quality of food is always delivered to the highest standard and presented to customers in a timely manner.

  5. Assist chefs by checking food stocks and placing orders with suppliers.

  6. Teach and supervise junior kitchen staff in cooking procedures using cooking knowledge and experience when needed.

  7. Assist chefs with menu planning and recipe creation.

  8. Work with other chefs to discuss food preparation issues.

  9. Prepare dietary food to meet customers’ special needs.

  10. Keep the kitchen tidy and clean to meet health and hygiene regulations.

  11. Manage frozen and fresh food.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification is not required. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required.
