We are looking for 2 Chef de Parties to join our team in Canterbury Region in New Zealand

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Planning Menus, Estimating Food and Labour Costs and

Ordering Food Supplies

• Check any short falls in stock or ordering needed for the next

day & of any maintenance problems

• Discuss Food preparation issues with Manager, Dietitians,

Kitchen and Waiting Staff

• Ensure individual responsibilities are ready to meet daily,

function and special requirements.

• Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality

and quantity.

• Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard

and properly cooked and delivered on time.

• Prepare and cook raw materials to the required standard.

• Follow recipes and instructions carefully.

• Clean preparation & service areas daily & other areas as

required.

• Be familiar with and follow the Food Control Plan.

• Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet

demand but avoid waste.

• Offer ideas for new dishes and, when invited, submit new

menu items.

• May Select and Train Staff and Treat all staff fairly and with

courtesy

• May Freeze and Preseve Foods• Ensure all statutory, as well as establishment, hygiene

regulations are strictly adhered to

Candidate Requirements:-

• Be Honest and Reliable

• Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts

• Be punctual

• Be Drug free

• Clean Criminal History

• Great cooking skills and attention to detail

• Overall knowledge about food production and presentation

• Knowledge of prevailing regulations on Hygiene

Experience or Qualification:-

• At least 2 Years of Relevant Work Experience OR Relevant Qualification is Required

Hours and Position:-

• These are full time permanent positions with minimum 30 hours +per week.

Pay Rate:-

• $26 to $32 per hour
