Key Responsibilities:

  •       Being involved in all aspects of kitchen/ culinary operation;
  •       Preparing and cooking quality food;
  •       Evaluating food quality and proposing changes to recipes and the menu where considered necessary;
  •      Organising the kitchen, ensuring that it runs efficiently and productively;
  •      Cook food in a timely manner;
  •        Ensure menu items are available throughout the trading day;
  •       Maintain stock;
  •        Order from suppliers (As required);
  •       Assist with selecting kitchen staff;
  •       Train kitchen staff;
  •        Monitor quality of dishes;
  •       Ensure food is cooked up to consistent standards and in compliance with food health and safety;
  •      Ensure food is stored and handled as per food health and safety regulations;
  •        Keep dry store clean and tidy;
  •      Keep chiller clean and tidy and correctly store raw meats, seafood, etc;
  •      Monitor food costs with management;
  •      Work well in a team, in a fast paced environment;
  •      Be self-motivated and self-disciplined;
  •          Ensure kitchen hygiene and cleanliness is maintained to the highest standard; and
  •          Any reasonable duties to maintain the sustainability of the employer

We're looking for:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a qualification at Level 4 or above with relevant skills for this customer facing role.
  • Good interpersonal skils to understand and manage staff and customer expectations are a must!
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to customer service excelence and continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in food safety and cleanliness
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Please note that this is a full time position with a guaranteed hours of at least 30 hours per week.
