About this role:
Number of Vacancies: 2
Work Location: Bay of Plenty Region
Salary Range: $29.00 -32.00 per hour
Employment type: Full Time, Permanent role
Hours of Work: Monday to Saturday - at least 30 hours per week, not more than 60 hours per week

 

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Honest, reliable, hardworking with a "can do" attitude and willing to learn
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy/open plan kitchen.
  • Passion for the industry
  • At least 2-year work experience in Chinese cuisine is required.

 

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • Preparing, Cooking and Seasoning Chinese food according to customers’ order including their dietary requirements
  • May collaborate/assist with Head Chef to planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies. 
  • Stock control and minimizing food wastage
  • Check and maintain proper food holding by handling, storing, and rotating all products properly and refrigeration temperature control points.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a hygienic work environment at all times
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
